Mbali Ntuli

Mbali NtuliMbali Ntuli is currently the enigmatic leader of the Democratic Alliance Youth in South Africa.  She was elected to this position in May 2013 prior to which, she held the office of Federal Chairperson since 2010.

A former Head Girl of Wykeham Collegiate in Pietermaritzburg, Mbali holds a Bachelor of Social Science degree from Rhodes University. Mbali’s political career was ignited when she participated in the DA Young Leaders programme in 2008.

After graduating from Rhodes, Mbali returned to KwaZulu-Natal, where she was elected provincial DA Youth Chairperson. In 2011 she was elected as a Councillor and served the community of Inanda in the eThekwini Municipality.

A passionate, outspoken young woman with a bright career ahead of her, Mbali was chosen as one of 5fm’s Women of the Month along with many other notable South African women in 2010.

In 2011 Mbali was named one of South Africa’s 200 Young People to Watch by the Mail & Guardian and she has also been named as one of South Africa’s Top 40 Power Women by Destiny magazine.

As of March 2013, Ntuli is an Alumni of the prestigious IVLP Programme where she has joined the ranks of other well known alums such as Margaret Thatcher, Tony Blair, FW de Klerk and Julia Gillard to name but a few.

CROW was very honoured to officially welcomed Mbali onto its Board of Trustees in August 2013.
