Frequently Asked Questions

Your donation, pooled with other support, will help CROW to rescue, rehabilitate and release all sorts of wildlife in the area of Kwa-Zulu Natal. CROW is a registered not-for-profit organisation, however doesn’t receive any governmental funding, which means we are completely reliant on donations and the generosity of the public to keep our doors open.

Your donation will cover CROW’s essential operating costs such as its monthly vets and
meds bills, animal food and fuel for its wildlife rescue and release vehicles, enclosure upgrades and animal enrichment as well as much needed equipment to keep our facility running smoothly.

We are the only NSPCA accredited wildlife rehabilitation centre in South Africa with permits to treat ALL wild animals on land and in sea. However, the most common animals that we receive are Banded Mongoose, Blue Duiker, Genets, rock hyrax, Birds, Long Crested Eagles, Tortoise, Vervet Monkey, Bushbaby, Owls and Reptiles

Yes, the Payfast Payment Gateway supports most credit cards. If you live outside South Africa, your donation will be charged in South African RAND and you will receive a mailed acknowledgement from CROW.

Yes, after you made a donation you will receive a Section 18a, which is tax deductible. However if you live outside South Africa, you will need to consult with your tax advisor to determine if it is tax deductible in your country.

Any donation is welcome, however a monthly recurring donation is highly appreciated as it will allow CROW to spread the financial impact of your giving across the entire year, lessening the acute financial effect. By making a monthly donation, you will become one of our Guardians automatically where you will enjoy many benefits.

Most definitely. Check out our “How to Help” page with other options to support CROW’s work.
