Three youngsters are semi-reared. Two were found displaced at the bottom of a resident’s garden, while the third was abandoned by its mother for three days before being rescued and brought to us.
This blue duiker had a terrifying encounter with a bird of prey, which caused him to fall from a tree and sustain injuries.
Sponsor our group of five juvenile Dassies. One of these youngsters was rescued after being picked up by a member of the public’s dog and carried into their home, after which it was safely brought to us at CROW.
Each of these little ones has a heartbreaking story, some were abandoned by their mothers, some were injured after being hit by cars, others were found alone on roadsides and some were orphaned.

This little one hatched slightly prematurely and has been reared at CROW ever since. He will soon be moved to our wetland, where he will spend the next year while we identify a suitable and safe release site.
This youngster was found in Mtunzini after a member of the public picked it up, and it was then safely transferred to us at CROW by the Richards Bay SPCA.
