Genets

Three youngsters are semi-reared. Two were found displaced at the bottom of a resident’s garden, while the third was abandoned by its mother for three days before being rescued and brought to us.

Blue Duiker

This blue duiker had a terrifying encounter with a bird of prey, which caused him to fall from a tree and sustain injuries.

Dassies

Sponsor our group of five juvenile Dassies. One of these youngsters was rescued after being picked up by a member of the public’s dog and carried into their home, after which it was safely brought to us at CROW.

Vervet Monkeys

Each of these little ones has a heartbreaking story, some were abandoned by their mothers, some were injured after being hit by cars, others were found alone on roadsides and some were orphaned.

Banded Mongoose

Sponsor our group of 17 baby Banded Mongooses. Each little one has a unique story of how they arrived at our centre, but sadly, most were abandoned by their mothers.

Crocodile

This little one hatched slightly prematurely and has been reared at CROW ever since. He will soon be moved to our wetland, where he will spend the next year while we identify a suitable and safe release site.

Bush baby

This youngster was found in Mtunzini after a member of the public picked it up, and it was then safely transferred to us at CROW by the Richards Bay SPCA.
